The American Junior Golf Association will recognize the 2023 State Farm Youth Classic by including it in their Performance Based Entry Recognition System (PBERS). Specifically, the AJGA will recognize the winners of the Boys and Girls 16-17 age divisions, and Boys 6B division, 7B, 7G, and 6G respectively, by awarding each winner 2 performance stars. The top 5 finishers in 7B and 6B will each receive 1 performance star, and the top 3 finishers in 6G will each receive 1 performance star. Additionally, the winners of the Boys and Girls 12-13 and Girls 14-15 divisions (5B, 5B, 6G) will each receive 1 performance star.

It is important to realize that performance stars do not guarantee a junior golfer entry into an AJGA event, but instead helps a junior golfer by building a status under the AJGA's PBERS system.

For more information about PBERS, please visit www.ajga.org/tourninfo/pbe/toc.asp or contact the AJGA Player Services Department at 877-373-2542 or ajga@ajga.org.

We feel that including the State Farm Youth Classic in the PBERS benefits both organizations. It benefits the AJGA by helping them recognize and provide opportunities to golfers who might not have yet had the opportunity to play in an AJGA event and possibly receive a college golf scholarship. Through this recognition it is our hope that our event will attract an even larger and potentially stronger field to compete against the nation's best junior golfers.
